EFQM Excellence Model

Description

With the aim to succeed, any organization needs to establish an adequate management system. The EFQM Excellence Model is a non-prescriptive framework that allows organizations:

  • To assess where they are on their way to excellence, helping them to identify their key strengths and potential needs in relation to their Vision and Mission.
  • To provide a global vision of the organization that allows determining how the different existing and planned initiatives fit and complement each other.
  • To have a basic structure for the management system.
  • To have a unique language and way of thinking, which ease an efficient communication of ideas within and outside the organization.

In a complementary way, the RADAR Logic Scheme, basis of the score system, provides a structured approach to analyze the organization performance. By means of the Logic Scheme RADAR:

  • The degree of excellence of any organization is assessed objectively.
  • Existing cause-effect relationships between what the organization does and the achieved results are shown.

What we do

The services related to the EFQM Excellence Model provided by Zitec are:

  • Self-Assessments according to EFQM Model, by proposing the most adequate methodology for every organization, always aligned with the official methodology of the CEG (NPO of the EFQM in Spain, licensees in self-assessment – PERFIL)
  • Definition and implantation of Improvement Plans on the basis of the results of the Self-Assessment.
  • Definition of Management Models, which give answer to the requirements of the EFQM Model and the organization needs.
  • Reports elaboration according to the EFQM Model (and other excellence references).
  • Preparation of the organization for the achievement of excellence awards of the CEG and the EFQM.
  • Preparation of the organization for awards competitions: European Award and others.

Results – Success cases

More than 70 EFQM self-assessments (including more than 40 using PERFIL ®). All of them associated with improvement plans tailored to each organization.

More than 30 reports according to the EFQM Model (and other benchmarks of excellence): four of them scored over 500 points, including a number of reports with the highest score achieved by Spanish Organizations.

Collaboration with obtaining seals of excellence: 500 +, 400 +, 300 +, 200 +, Q Excellent Gold and Madrid Excellent Awards in more than 30 Organizations.

Preparation of over 15 organizations for the application to the European Excellence Award, AEVAL prizes, Castilla y León Award for Excellence in Management, Madrid Excellent Awards, Awards of Excellence and Quality in Public Service Management Community of Castilla y León and Awards for Best Practices in Quality Management Community of Castilla y León.
