Data protection act
Description
The Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal (LOPD) and its regulations of development forces all the companies and autonomous employers to adopt a series of measures to protect personal data in their hands. The failure to comply with these obligations is accompanied with sanctions that, as a function of their seriousness, oscillate between 600 and 600.000 euro.
What we do
The methodology developed by Zitec Consultants for adaptation to the requirements demanded by the Data Protection Act and implementing regulations allow the Organization:
- To draw conclusions about the accurate situation about the personal data treatment by the organization and focus its improvement actions to execute.
- To assure that the personal data treatment is adapted to the LOPD requirements.
- To minimize the risks of sanctions by the Spanish Agency of Data Protection.
- To reduce the reputational risk in view of potential information losses.
After a diagnosis of the company organizational structure and the security level applicable to the personal data files the organization will be give the following documentation:
- Compulsory Security Document, with the necessary protection measures to give compliance to the legislation in force, including legal clauses in contracts and forms.
- Register of personal data files in the Spanish Agency of Data Protection.
Results – Success
We have implemented the requirements demanded by the Organic Law of Protection of Personal Data and policy development in a wide range of public and private organizations. We have also conducted training activities in the field for associations and intermediate organizations.
